Non-surgical spinal decompression is an effective treatment for patients that are looking to avoid the potential dangers that come with surgery, anesthesia, and drug-based pain management. This treatment is non-invasive and does not rely on potentially harmful pain medication to manage pain. Our office offers non-surgical spinal decompression.
The procedure entails a motorized traction apparatus that gently stretches the lumbar spine (lower back) and the cervical spine (neck). This treatment relieves pressure on the spinal disks which helps to promote increased movement of oxygen and fluid between the disks thus relieving pain and discomfort, which can take the pressure off of pinched nerves.
You will be fitted with a harness around your torso and another at your pelvis, and lie on a comfortable ergonomic table. Most patients report no discomfort during the treatment and often state that they can't even tell that they are being pulled or they will fall asleep during the treatment.
